4 Diamond Guest Accomodation

Last updated: 06/08/2006

The Frenchgate Guest House is a Victorian-era townhouse situated within short walking distance of Richmond's historic market place.

The location of the guest house - along the ancient cobbled street of Frenchgate - affords spectacular views of the surrounding countryside, including Richmond castle, the River Swale and nearby Easby Abbey.

Since being taken under new management in 2003 and after the completion of extensive renovation work Frenchgate Guest House was proudly awarded four-diamond status by the English Tourism Council, making it one of few bed and breakfast accommodations in the area to recieve such a high rating.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our service and the fact that the majority of our guests wouldn't choose anywhere else to stay should they return to Richmond. We cater for both tourists and business professionals alike, and even dogs are welcome with prior arrangement.

This website has been created to provide you with as much information as possible about ourselves, but feel free to contact us at any time should you require more information, we would be more than happy to help.

Best wishes,

Ralph Doy
